Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and Management

The School of Management is launching a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and Management (IT&M) this fall, 2019. See the press release here.

SOM has been working on the development of the program for nearly three years. It has been a strong group effort involving many hours and many people.

The curriculum will consist of a dozen or so IT courses and a dozen or so management courses. The progam is a STEM-eligible undergraduate degree.

The program will grow undergraduate enrollment that helps UB achieve enrollment targets aligned with high demand IT professions. The program curriculum will Improve the student experience and satisfaction by providing students with a new major that provides a direct path to highly desirable IT and business careers. When coupled with our strength in computational science, data analytics, big data technologies, information assurance and IT security we will develop additional programs and certificates that will complement the degree.
